Perfect picture frame...

I made this cute little picture frame in about an hour and it turned out so cute! All you need is a creamer container that has the same type lid...they can stand alone or add a magnet and stick on the frig! It's the perfect fit for those wallet sized photos kids get with the school packets! For details on how to make it yourself..go to...ReUseIt Crafts...

Halloween fun

Back when the kids were younger,I used to make stuff for all the different holidays.Well,my now grown up (but living with us) daughter, asked if I would make some of her favorites this year. So, I set out to make some simple decorations that reflected my sincere attempt to recycle everything! The witch, spider and ghost are made with recycled plastic grocery bags and newspaper. They were fairly easy to make so I wanted to pass on the information to others that wanted to put up some decorations, save money and recycle all at the same time! ReCycling or ReUsing...

I do it all day, everyday and it's always on my mind..should I keep it or throw it away! I have so many items saved...plastic grocery bags, hangers, milk jugs, creamer containers, coffee cans(the list goes on and on!)...I also pick up the pinecones out of our yard and recently started making jewelry!I'm always experimenting with different materials in the attempt to justify keeping trash...I've come up with tons of ideas and anyone reading this blog can visit our site for more...

Why Buy When You Can Recycle?

Call me crazy but these are even better than the last ones! I looked around at the room and found no color and decided the sconces I had made, needed a boost! I also discovered a neat way to use plastic water bottles and wanted to do something more with them.I am so obsessed with recycling and reusing that I don't buy anything I could make (or think I can make) myself.Stay tuned for more crazy ideas! If your interested, please visit our website for more!

Something New?

New to me!It's exiting to see a project I start turn out so well!Alot of start overs but it was well worth it.I was getting close to giving up but I always get like that when I start something new. It's real fun knowing I did'nt spend a dime on materials like going to the craft store and getting drawn to craft kits etc...I used to go to the craft stores and think, gee, I wish I could afford this n that and I guess thats why I started my quest to create from what I could get my hands on for what ever I needed for gift giving or selling...I've done alot of experiments and have come up with some pretty cool things and would like to share my knowledge and experience...visit us today to learn more!...

Another Day,Another Project

Once again I found myself making something I needed. At first I thought it would be silly to make something that is so cheap but its one of those things you forget once you get to the store..a fly swatter..I got to looking at the one I have (that keeps getting left outside)and figured there was no reason I could'nt make one myself..it turned out pretty good and now I'll see how long it lasts!...

Was Gonna Toss it...

Geez, once again,I found myself staring at something in my hand dangling over the trash can...it was a pair of old sock with holes,as usual, the tops were in great shape,("note to self, use the tops of the old socks..hmm...got it!")Can you think of something you could use an old pair of socks for?..Ya know, cutting off the dingy-holy part and just use the top?..I needed knee pads for work in the garden,I of course had an old milk jug (clean of course) and armed with my trusty glue gun,I assembled the socks and plastic from the milk jug and problem solved!..Now I don't know about anyone else, but we have had lots of holy socks.I usually sew them once after that they end up in the *gonna use* closet.I would like to share my ideas with anyone interested in helping to de-clutter the world's dump sites..please visit my website and send for your copy of ReUseIt-Recycle Projects,I've done the research, all you have to do is check out how easy it is to make items from your trash.I'm hoping to hear from everyone real soon!

ReUseIt-Recycle

Does everyone see it?..Is it just me?..It drives me nuts!..From the time we get up til we go to sleep,we're ALL tossing something out..the papertowel/napkin you just threw away..the coffee grounds now in the trash can...the plastic baggy on that sandwhich you had for lunch..the soda cup you get with any fast food, plus the cardboard sandwhich container!..Goodness,its a wonder we can keep up with it all.I guess not all of us keep it in the same place though,on your next drive home, just take a look at all the garbage others have decided to get rid of without the use of a trash bag...lovely sight along our nations highways...
I think I may have a solution though.I've been collecting and using trash for a long time (It started out of the guilt of tossing so many things out that looked useful) ..With a bit of thought,I can come up with a use for just about anything I would ordinarily toss out.I have made canisters from old coffee jars, calender hanger from a coat hanger, doll furniture from cereal boxes, the list goes on..If you feel the same way I do,check out my website for your first set of ReUseIt-Recycle Projects at garbagegifts.com ,there are a couple of samples of the projects which can be made by anyone and even sold (now that would be cool, selling your trash!)..I sure would like to see everyone attempting to use their own trash...
